Taking a break every now and then is always a good idea if you don't want to burn out in the middle of your workday. If you keep forgetting to give your eyes a rest from time to time, you can let wnr remind you. This simple and lightweight application lets you define your work and break periods, and it automatically reminds you when it's time to rest. The application is incredibly simple, and it can be of great use if you have a huge workload.

You can get wnr for free and install it on your computer in just a few seconds. The process doesn't involve any complicated settings, and you don't have to meet any special requirements. The application works on all modern Windows platforms, without having any noticeable impact on performance.

You can specify how long you want to work for and how long your break should be, in minutes, by typing the numbers directly on the application's compact user interface. Additionally, you can specify how many work-break loops you want to go through. When you're ready, you only need to hit the Enter key and the timer will start right away.

The interface can be minimized to the system tray while the timer is running. Once the timer expires, the application will display a message on your screen, to remind you to take a break. The message is displayed on a simple pop-up window, so you can dismiss it right away, but you can also set the application to display the reminder on the entire screen.

Besides the full-screen option, the general settings menu also contains options for auto-starting the application and playing sounds when notifications are displayed. What's more, the software lets you set default work and rest times, as well as a default number of loops, so you don't have to make the same specifications each time you run it.

You can have a much healthier work routine if you decide to make use of wnr's simple, but efficient functionality.

Pros

You can start work and break timers on the fly. The application lets you set default work and rest times. wnr is lightweight and you can have it up and running in no time.

Cons

There is no Snooze or Postpone option.
